IPC Media

IPC Media is the leading consumer magazine and digital publisher in the UK. They have more than 60 ironic media brands including the magazine ‘Look’ and leading music magazine ‘NME’. IPC not on create content for printed additions but other forms such as mobile, online, tablets and even events. On average they reach out to 26 million adults who include two thirds of UK women and over 40% of UK men. They gain 25 million worldwide users every month on their selection of websites.

Our company is split into three divisions; IPC Connect, IPC Inspire and IPC Southbank. IPC Connect consists of Women’s famous weeklies including ‘Woman’ and ‘Chat’ also TV brands that include ‘TVtimes’ and ‘what’s on TV’. Their men’s portfolio, IPC Inspire includes leisure brands such as ‘Rugby world’ and ‘country life’ as well as lifestyle brands ‘mousebreaker’ and ‘NME’. Their IPC Southbank withholds their upmarket woman’s fashion and lifestyle brands such as ‘Woman&home’, ‘Essentials’ and home idea magazines such as ‘Ideal home’.

Linked to the publishing is IPC Advertising which allows companies to buy advertising space within a magazine best suiting the company’s type to reach the widest target audience which can also be across a wide variety of platforms. This section of the company is the UK’s leading distribution company.

Bauer

Bauer Media contains more than eighty media brands with a wide range of interest (heat, closer, kerrang and 4music). They aim to connect the public with quality and inviting content, It’s part of Europe’s largest privately owned publishing group, they offer over 300 magazines in 15 countries but also use other platforms such as TV and radio. The group employs 6,400 people to work closely with their business partners to create the best content. Their company launched back in 1953 with the start on the Angling Times soon followed by the release of Motor Cycle in 1956, both are still involved with this company.

The start of the company’s radio business was in 1990 with the launch of London station Kiss FM which then brought on many more radio releases by Bauer including Liverpool’s Radio City and Melody FM.

Condé Nast

Condé Nast generates on average around 164 million consumers with its twenty industry leading print and digital brands. The company launched Condé Nast in 2011 to make film, television and video programming. Condé Nast also owns Fairchild Fashion Media which consists of fashion journalism make including ‘Footwear news’, ‘WWD’ and many more. Condé Nast has 18 consumer magazines all reaching out to different target audiences, ranging from ‘Teen Vogue’ to ‘Brides’.

Condé Nast was established in 1909 when the company bought ‘Vogue’ a short while after in 1913 ‘Vanity Fair’ is launched. Magazines such as ‘Brides’ were acquired by the company in 1959. The company released their first digital edition of a magazine available as an app in 2010 for ‘GQ’ and ‘Wired’.
